My husband also recieved same email after 3 months of submitting the application...maybe its their standard reply to complex visas?... its 2nd time we have applied...is this ur first application?

at the first i applied for the wrong visa none sattelement
but this time i apply for right one but now is more than 3 month i’m waiting
they called me and my employment about my job and got that email

Yh i was also phoned by HO for interview but that was in march n its now 5 months later n still no reply....i just dont understand why they cant tell us what stage atleast the process is in...seems to me like they put complicated visas to a side...n work on easier ones, but i could be wrong

Well...I hv been through same situation...
My husband is also self employed...
But he sent every bit of document through lawyer.
But home office refused after 7 months because they couldn't find one single paper SA 302 in my documents.
Within 7 months ..my husband and lawyer emailed them so so many times asking them if they need any other docs but they always replied in No.
Moreover my lawyer has prove that he had attached that document to my file .
This is so so careless attitude.
I'm going in appeal.
How can they refuse visa just because of one missing document.which was already sent to them.
I'm so so disappointed and shocked.

Email them , I paid just over £5. I didn’t get any confirmation either that’s why I emailed them.

Email them , I paid just over £5. I didn’t get any confirmation either that’s why I emailed them.

What email address did you use to contact them. I sent my documents on 18 July and still no confirmation email.

Mines was priorty biometric was done on 26th april
Decision was made last week and also got the passport last week too
After employment check for the 2nd time decision was made within a week

Yh its been 5 months since interview...they called me n employer on same day...but its been 8 months since i applied a spouse visa for my husband...we submitted papers here n my husband did biometrics in mirpur...each case is different so the time limit will vary but sometimes if u have been refused before...that maybe reason for delay

I am new to this so I am not sure if I have posted in the right place, apologies if I have not.

Timeline:

My husband and I made an application for him to join me in the UK
Application made on 28 January 2018
Biometrics - 6 February 2018
UKVI returned our supporting documents on 9 March 2018
Not straight forward email received on 27 April 2018

As you can see we have now waited 107 working days since the date of the biometrics. We have escalated the case 3 times - to which UKVI only respond by saying it is still being assessed. My MP also got involved and when UKVI got back to him they just said we have to wait as the case is complex. They have not contacted us asking for additional documents, nor have they contacted my managers. Our case is very simple and so I am not sure what is complex about it. Only thing that is making us very nervous and stressed is that my husband's visa in Australia expires in September 2018 and his passport expires in October 2018. We have informed UKVI of this multiple times but they really don't care. It doesn't really make sense because he wouldn't be able to travel with an expired passport anyway and it takes 3 months to renew his passport from Australia...

Has anyone waited this long yet? What is the maximum time UKVI can take to make a decision? We have lost hope and are now thinking to withdraw the application and for me to go to Australia then maybe apply to the UK again from there. Which I really don't want to do! Ah!
