Hello,

My wife is a permanent resident here in the UK, but may need to travel to Italy in relation to her work. She is currently working as a contractor for a multinational company, and her role may require her to attend periodic meetings in Italy.

Is it possible for her to apply for a Business Schengen Visa that would permit her to make multiple entries over a definite period, say six months or a year?

Yes for meetings a business visa is the right choice.
