Absence from the UK

Post by businessmanuk » Sat Sep 08, 2018 4:23 pm

Can you travel outside UK after having the ILR approved before making an application for British citizenship or naturalization after 12 months?

What things to consider before traveling outside the UK so it doesn't effect the citizenship application after 12 months of having ILR approved? Thanks

You are free to travel of course with ILR and before AN application, as long as you don't have more than 90 days out o the country the 12 months before your AN application. Check the AN documentation for the instructions on this rule. There is some room for discretion by UKVI but simplest would be to keep to around the 90 days.
