Tier 2 General to ILR

Post by Vicky12092018 » Wed Sep 12, 2018 11:37 am

Dear All,

Could you please answer my questions?

Background:

I was on Tier 2 General Visa (with Company A)
Date of issue - June 2014
Valid Until - June 2017

Although my visa is valid from June, I started my work from September 2014 and finish by end of November 2015.

I am on Tier 2 General Visa (with Company B) i.e. Change of employment
Date of issue - December 2015
Valid Until - December 2018

I started my work from January 2016 and due to extension now. I am going to extend my visa for another 1.5 years.

Questions:

1. When will I eligible to apply ILR? is that from July 2019 or October 2019?

2. The reason I am asking the first question, I started working from September 2014 although my visa is valid from June 2014. Can I count those 3 months (June, July and August 2014) for my ILR ?

3. I finish my job with Company A by end of November 2015 and joined new job on January 2016 in Company B. I have one month employment gap (December 2015), is that a problem ?

Many thanks,
Vicky

For ILR only the initial visa issue date matters. The gap between the employments is not a factor anymore so you should be fine

Thanks Zimba.

You think I should be fine when applying ILR on July 2019 ?

Regards
Vicky
