Tier 1 Exceptional Talent - Stage 1 in UK and Stage 2 in India possible?

Hi,

I am currently in UK on Tier 2 ICT visa and I am exploring Tier 1 Exceptional Talent visa. All my documents and proofs are in place including my personal statement - the issue is that my existing ICT visa will expire in 7 weeks. I was thinking that I apply for Stage 1 in UK and then if I get the recommendation, I will apply for Stage 2 from India. Is this allowed/possible? I have filled only my Indian address in the Home Office form but in personal statement, I have mentioned that I am currently living in UK.

Should I wait for 7 weeks and apply from India - the whole process?

you can go for either option. check the processing time required and amount of time u have in hand to stay in the country.

Thanks for the response. I have almost 7 weeks of remain to stay left. I assume that Stage 1 Tech City recommendation will take near about 6-8 weeks, I will not be able to apply for Stage 2 visa stamping here in the UK. So even if I get a recommendation, I will have to leave UK. I was wondering that can I apply for Stage 2 in that case from India.
