Tier 4 Visa process

Dear Members,

I applied for tier 4 visa on the 10th of September and opted for priority also paid an extra 650 to vfs for receiving texts and emails regarding the status of my application. I received a text from vfs on the same night that my documents were dispatched to ukvi for processing. Since then i haven't received any email from ukvi that they received my documents or my visa is under processing. This is unusual as my friends who applied earlier had received an email stating that their documents were received and another email stating that the decision has been made etc. Now, I am worried that my documents had made it to embassy or not. Is it usual to happen like this if not please share your opinion about what to do next.
