Long residence e ILR means your wife and kids under 18 must switch to FLR(M) and start a new 5 year residence before they qualify for ILR.

Children over 18 cannot and will have to find a visa they qualify for.

All would qualify for ILR based on PBS dependent provided over 18 children are not leading an independent life.

Have you read any of the advice already given?

Your over 18 child won't qualify for FLR(M) if you apply for ILR based on long residence, so you will need to meet the income requirement for spouse and 3 kids @ £27,200 per annum with minimum 6 months payslips and 6 months bank statements. There are NO 'maintenance funds' requirements for FLR(M). Only income is counted.

If your 17 years old reaches 18 before you potentially apply for ILR LR, then they won't qualify for FLR(M) either, then the requirement is £24,800 per annum for spouse and 2 kids.

ILR based on Tier 1 will be the better option for your family to be honest if you want your older children to stay with you.

He will have to find one he qualifies for and will possibly have to apply from home country, ie. tier 4 student visa if he can get sponsorship.
