Yes you need to apply for shengen visa providing list of things you will be doing during your visit. Hotel reservations, placed you ll be visiting etc etc. You have to apply in the embassy of first port of entry.
You don’t need your ex wife’s documents to apply for shengen although when you come back to uk the immigration officer can ask you question how you retained your rights so i advise you to carry a copy of decree absolute and photocopy of your ex-wife’s id.
Hope that helps.

Just answer the IO questions truthfully. Nothing to be worry about (it is not an exam).
Agree with Jambo - when i travelled with my ROr i did not use EU queue and filled the landing card, but the officer who at first thought i was still married start asking question about partner whereabout, and i said do not know as we are now divorce. He then told me that i should have used the EU queue even with ROR and no need to fill landing card. Hope this help
Some one post on immigration board in 2016
Is it true or not

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

REASONS FOR REFUSAL:
1) You have provided a photocopy of your sponsor's Passport which was not done via European Passport Return Service (EPRS). This has been deemed insufficient as we are unable to determine if this is a genuine document. You do state in the application that you are unable to obtain the original as you are not in contact with your sponsor since the divorce. The photocopy you have sent could be reconsidered if you are able to demonstrate that you have made genuine attempts to contact the sponsor to obtain the document.
It is worth highlighting that this office cannot consider any evidence which has been printed in a manner which the issuing party or authority cannot be appropriately verified (i.e. by official templates, watermarks etc. in the_ir original form). This includes photocopies and word processed documents devoid of security features. Whilst it is accepted that the evidence supplied is most likely copies or printouts of the original document or source there is no way for this office to verify if the documents have been altered, tampered with or produced directly for the purposes of this application. As such these documents cannot be solely relied upon as evidence of your EEA national sponsors identity.
(SPONSOR PASSPORT COPT ATTESTED BY SOLICITOR AND SELF ATTESTED BY SPONSOR)

2) You should note however that even if a valid identity document for your former EEA national sponsor had been proved with this retained rights application, the following criteria of the EEA regulations must also be met.
In order to qualify for a residence card as the former spouse of an EEA national, you must demonstrate that your spouse was exercising treaty rights at the point of initiation of divorce proceedings and that you have continued to exercise treaty rights as though you are an EEA national since your divorce.
It is noted in order to evidence your former spouses' treaty rights you have provided HMRC employment history letter dated 22 September 2017 and therefore does not satisfy that your former spouse was exercising treaty rights at the point of initiation.
(UNIVERSITY LETTERS AND EMPLOYMENT HISTORY FROM 2013 TO DIVORCE PROCEEDINGS BEGAN WERE PROVIDED)
3) To evidence your treaty rights since the point of initiation you have provided leTter from ***** Financial Services (ACCOUNTANT) dated 19 June 2018 regarding your self employment. This is insufficient we need more evidence of this such as, itemized bank statements and invoices to confirm you are exercising treaty rights from the point of initiation
(BANK STATEMENTS, 4 YEAR TAX RETURNS, MORTGAGE DOCUMENTS WERE PROVIDED)

THIS IS A CLEAR CASE THAT THEY HAVEN'T EEN LOOKED AT MY DOCUMENTS PROPERLY. THEY HAVE GIVEN ME AN APPEAL BUT I AM GOING TO REAPPLY WITH MORE SOLID DOCUMENTS I.E. INVOICES AND DETAILED INFO OF EVERY SINGLE TRANSACTION.

ALHAMDULLIAH ROBIL ALAMIN

THANKS TO EVERYBODY INCLUDING THE ADMIN TEAM MORE GREESE TO YOUR ELBOW

THE WHOLE PROCESS TOOK JUST 3 WEEKS

MY JOURNEY SINCE 2007
I CAME TO UK SEP 2007 ON A VISIT WITH DIFFERENT NAME AND DOB

I MANAGED TO REGULARISE MY STATUS MARCH 2013 WHEN I GOT MARRIED
APPLICATION REFUSED IN SEPTEMBER 2013 AND APPEAL WAS GRANTED
WENT TO COURT IN JANUARY THE 2014 THE CASE WAS ADJOURNED AND WHEN TO COURT IN MARCH 2014 THE APPEAL WAS ALLOWED AND RESIDENT CARD WAS GRANTED JULY 2014 AND WILL EXPIRE JULY 2019

THINGS FALL APART AND MY EX WIFE FILLED DIVORCE IN MARCH 2018
I RECEIVED THE DECREE NISI 31/08/2018 I HAVE TO WAIT FOR 6 WEEKS AND ONE DAY BEFORE ABSOLUTE
BUT I SENT ALL THE DOCUMENT TO HOME OFFICE ON THE 12 OF SEPTEMBER. EX WIFE WAS NOT CO-OPERATING WITH ME ANYMORE AND LEFT HOME. I MANAGED TO FOUND HER ID CARD THAT WAS ABOUT TO EXPIRE THEN 16-09-2018 I USED IT TO APPLY FOR PERMANENT RESIDENT RETAIN RIGHT AND MY APPLICATION WAS SUCCESSFUL BUT HOME OFFICE SAID THEY CAN'T RETURN BACK HER ID AS THAT HAS BEEN DECLARED LOST OR STOLEN SINCE 2016.
I REMEMBERED SHE SAID SHE MISPLACED HER ID SOMETIMES AGO BUT I FORGOT TOTALLY THAT WAS THE ID I FOUND IN HER BAG.

I WAS THINKING MY FINGER PRINT WILL CAUSE ISSUE ON A DIFFERENT NAME WHICH I HAVE USED BEFORE AND I WAS THINKING THEY WILL WAIT TILL I SEND THE DECREE ABSOLUTE BEFORE THEY ISSUED ME BUT WITHING 3 WEEKS EVERYTHING WAS SORTED.

THANK GOD.

THANK GOD.

Hello, can someone help me with this. We were married in sep 2014 and i did apply for residence card which was refused because home office think it was marriage of convinience. Our case is still in first tribunal and we have some differences. Can i apply for right of residency as she was working throughout and we were living together almost four years. Please help me if you know the right answers. Thanks in advance
