Tier 2 (General, new hires) Priority delays.

Hi everyone,
I am in the same situation as some people..
Had my appointment in the vsf in Brazil on the 28th of August, paid for priority and so far nothing..
I've received an e-mail on the 14th of September saying the my process was not straightforward but I have read that sometimes Sheffield UKVI sends this email to everyone just because they can cope with the demand

32 working days (have submitted my application on the 7th of August), the second escalation, still nothing. I don't know how the hell I can just enter the consulate...

I applied on 1st August 2018 Gave biometrics.
No news till now.
I got an insider from the company that decision was made on 23rd September.
However, have not received any news on decision or passport.
Very Tensed. Any suggestion why so late even if the decision has been made already.

Another week passed and I didn't receive anything. I called and they said it is still being processed. This is so frustrating.
Does anyone know how long it takes for them to send the passport back after they send the email?

This so really frustrating indeed. Did you pay for priority?
How did you find out the date of processing of your decision? Was it via your employer?

By second escalation you mean you got that email saying that your process was not straightforward?

So just to give some feedback here, my dates were:
biometrics: 28/08
received email that was not straightforward: 14/09
decision made: 30/09
But even with the priority fee I have not yet received my passport.

I have been following this forum from last one year now, it has helped me a lot at every step.

I’m in a similar situation where i submitted my documents and biometrics on 4th Oct, but haven’t received my passport yet.

Called home office today, they said decision was made on application on 8th Oct, however i have not received any email or SMS. Local VFS office is saying their sustem shows application in progress and passport is still with embassy.

Can anyone help and guide what i can do to check where it is stuck?

Any help would be appreciated.

They also told me the same thing that my passport is at the consulate, but I couldn't even go inside the consulate. They didn't let me in. The security gaurd was giving me the same junky crap UNVI email address we all know.

Actually I got the feeling that the idea behind building TlsContact centers separated from the embassies is not to facilitate the visa application process, but to keep embassies completely dedicated for UK citizens and also staff there can have their long lasting winter sleep without any foreign annoyance.

Have you ever seen anyone who has experienced losing passport by those guys?

No, I don't actually know anyone, but with this delay and people who submitted their applications last week also getting their passports, I'm suspecting the worst. I dont know what else to do now ...

Hi, could you pls share what happened with your application after this? Have you received your passport now? Did you do anything to speed up the process?

Hello Mezk... did you get any update on your passport?

Yes! I’ve received my passport today.
The wierd thing is the issue date was the 26th of September and I’m supposed to enter the UK before the 26th of October. Have to be fast to book flights and pack

I had a similar problem. The UKVI call center said my visa had been processed last month and I did not receive anything. I went to VSF in person to enquirer after it had been processed for more than 10 days. They were very unhelpful saying they had not been notified of the visa approval yet and etc but later on I managed to speak to their manager. She said that what happens is that after UKVI approves the visa, it has to
be printed in a UK consulate/center. In my case it was Bogotá. So what happened in those 12 days was that Bogotá was busy with the printing and took a while to print and send it to VSF. I hope this helps

Did you received your passport?
i have also applied on 3rd OCT and same like your no info after that.

Applied 19th of September as priority service. After 10 working days requested status update by email got an answer that they had not received my documents so I provided them the Royal Mail tracking number which says they had been.
They told me to allow them some time to resolve you query. It has been a month since then I do not have any updates. Don't know what to do
