Tier 2 changing jobs in different field

Post by cvision » Tue Aug 07, 2018 8:56 am

Hello,

I am currently on Tier 2 General visa in the Uk, since past 2 years now, and my permit is expiring next year Jan. Due to uncertainty of my current workplace, I am looking to change my job and move to other company. I wanted to change my work field as well. So if I get a job and apply for Tier 2 visa extension, would it be alright if I get low salary job which is less then £30k. However, I understand if I do apply for the same field job, at the time of extension I have to show salary above £30k.

Please could anyone advise me on this matter?

Thanking you for your time.

What is your 'current work field'??

Because I have not worked as any of those job titles mentioned under that SOC code. I am currently working as a developer.

New entrant salary is ONLY relevant to very specific circumstances.

How old are you?

Have you already got a new sponsor who has a UCoS to assign??

Has the full RLMT process been done?

Hello,

I wanted to ask, if I stay with the same company, and apply for Tier 2 extension under these circumstances:
- SOC code is changed, and will paid the salary of an experienced worker with the changed SOC

- The new SOC code job salary is lower than my previous experienced worker SOC code salary. Will that be an issue?

- Since the new job falls under shortage occupation list, I am excempt from RLMT, is that correct?

- If everything falls without any issue, I should apply as a new Tier 2 applicant?

Thanking you for your time and advice.
