UK born child - Register birth with Indian Embassy

Hi,

My son was born in the UK and I am looking to register the birth with the High Commision India in London.

I filled the application form and in part II of the application, my husband's name is printed. Can I go in person to submit the application? I read somewhere that only the parent's name in part II should go is that true?
