Had a problem with online application regarding financial section as my wife is a homemaker. The form doesnt take zero income as its value. Hence applied using paper application, on postal route.

Supporting Documents Posted: 22 August 2018 (Received the next day & Signed by HM Realy - Sheffield)
Acknowledgement Letter Received: 17th Sept 2018 (Dated 14th Sept 2018)
Additional Documents Requested: 17th Sept 2018 (Dated 14th Sept 2018) - cited passport photos missing despite already sent together with the initial documents.
Additional Documents Submitted: 20th Sept 2018 - Sent all passport photos again 1st class royal mail signed.
Supporting Documents Returned: 3rd October 2018 (dated 2nd October 2018) - returned using our pre-paid envelope with tracking which we supplied together when sending the supporting documents.
Application Decision: APPROVED

(the letter came inside the pre-paid envelope above together with all supporting documents)

Total time taken: 6 weeks + 2 days from when online application submitted!

Note: Haven't actually received the BRP, but DX Delivery confirmed it was already delivered on 4th October when we called. They might have left it with a neighbour so we're sorting it out, should be no problem as long as the decision was approved.
