Hi all,
If someone is British citizen and is willing to bring his non-EU partner then which country has more easier and cheaper visa process, UK or Ireland. As we all know that UK spouse visa is very costly and involve the fulfillment of mandatory requirement of earning at least £18600. But how about Ireland if a British national move then can he sponsor his non-EU partner there and if so then whether that will be covered under Irish own immigration law or European law.
Definitely easier and cheaper from Ireland.
The only issue I can see coming to Ireland is that you (UK citizen) won't be a EU citizen from March, 2019 so I don't know how that will affect your application, my guess (my own opinion) is that once your application is in the system you will be treated as an EU citizen even if the UK already left the EU but for sure there will be a cut off date to new applications.
EU Treaty Rights applications in Ireland are taking longer these days so very unlikely your application will be decided before March, 2019 even if you apply today. I would get some legal advise on the matter but with Brexit so unclear to everyone including leave leaders in the UK I honestly don't think anyone can give you a certain answer.
