Hi all,
I wanted to see what others think.
My former employer has given me an absence letter with two types of absences: work-related and annual leave.
One of my absences was paid and authorised absence while working remotely abroad (due to family bereveamenet). It was only 6 full days and I plan to apply for ILR after this absence has passed outside of my 5 year qualifying period (it was just at the start of my Tier 2 visa, luckily).
This absence was entered under work-related absences (as it was not annual leave) and the reason given is "authorised and fully paid absence due to family bereavement". I have an email from my former line manager to confirm I was working remotely.
Does this sound okay? Am I over-thinking or do they need to put remote working specifically? It doesn't neatly fit within either annual leave or work-related sections so I am very worried.
Thanks!
