Hello,
I am in the process of applying for an extension for my wife after getting married in May 2016. My wife entered the UK in June 2016 as a dependent. I am a British national. I have got a couple of questions regarding the documents I have to submit.
1. From June 2016 until Aug 2018, my wife and I were living with my uncle so we don't have any utility bills in our joint names.
We have got a letter from my uncle and the previous landlord confirming that my wife and I were living at this property with my uncle from June 2016 to Aug 2018
The other documents we can provide to confirm that we were living at this address are:
P60's - for both of us
Salary Slips - both of us
Bank Statements
Electoral Roll card - both of us
The guidelines suggest that we have to submit 6 documents in each of our names to prove cohabitation.
Can you please advise do I have to submit any other documents as proof of cohabitation or the documents mentioned above are sufficient?
Can you please advise about the 6 + 6 evidence for both husband and wife; as to what other proof we can provide?
The guidelines suggest that the evidence of cohabitation should be spread evenly, what does it mean?
From Aug 2018 - till date, as we have moved to a rented accommodation we can provide tenancy agreement, council tax bills, electricity bill are in joint names so we can submit that as a proof.
I am aware that it is a long question but I want to make it sure that I make no errors.
Thanks very much in advance.
Regards
