hello, what did the acknowledgement say? Are you saying you got only a receipt?
For most people, they send a receipt of 175 + a letter stating that the application has been moved to second stage. If you have got this letter, that's your 2nd stage letter.

Regards.

that's not the 2nd stage. your application is still at the first step by the look of it.
in the second stage, they clearly stated that your application has been initially processed and is being moved to the second stage of the processing.

it depends on so many things but in a nutshell there’s no correct answer to that question. The possible factors are: the basis of your application, your immigration history, anything that will show that you’re not of good character such as court appearance, fine, traffic offence and so on. the quickest route to get the citizenship is to apply as spouse of irish citizen and the worst being EU-FAM, and Irish associations. there’s of course a little bit of luck involved. meanwhile all you can do is just to wait I’m afraid.
