UK Spouse Visa Housing Report

Dear Members,

I am in the process of applying UK spouse visa for my wife who is currently in India. Part of this visa application requires me to provide UKVI the housing report for accommodation. I own (on Mortgage) a 3 bedroom house here in UK. Do i Still need to provide this housing report as surely there is no issue of overcrowding in a 3 bed house for 2 people?

Please do let me know if any furhter information is needed from my side in relation to the above.

I would really appreciate a response to my query.

Yes you still need a Property Survey Report, I also have home and still I needed to give property report proof

Wrong advice!!!

A housing inspection report is ONLY required when sharing a property with other people and NOT when you live in the property on your own exclusively.

By any chance is there any reference about this on gov.uk website?

Would there be a housing report requirement if I share the property with a tenant only for the period of time before my wife comes? Say for example if she joins me in UK on 16/01/2019 then is it ok to share the property up until before 16/01/2019?

It will do no harm to include it, as it will clearly demonstrate you have adequate to accommodate your spouse.

The only problem is that it costs £110. Since I can't find any reference of this document being not needed for spouse visa, therefore, I have decided that I will get it. Don't want to take any chance.

£110 is much cheaper than risking having a £2100 application refused and paying it all over again.
