This is a risk and I know at least one member being in the same situation as yours having had to cancel the application (then claim for refund) and re-applying within 28 days of qualifying period. He did that for peace of mind. The decision is at the casework's discretion because I know they could choose either the application date, the decision date or up to 28 days after the application date.

I think that message on the cancel page is just a catch-all so people have zero expectations. UKVI themselves have a huge PDF giving guidance on withdrawal and altering of applications, many circumstances in which you would be eligible for a partial or full refund. This document is a long read but deals with many of the situations spoken about on these forums in the last few weeks.

I'm in the same boat, as soon as the new system came to be I already had my form filled, just went to the payment. My eligible date to apply would be 25 of December(28 days from my visa date 22/01, my online application date is 2nd November, and my appointment is 28th of December, I'm willing to debate this with the case worker, I don't think canceling and refund is an option, as this wasn't clear on the first days, since the before the new system the appointment date(in person) was the actual date to be considered.

Hi Can you please confirm the documents you attached for immigration history? I am applying to ILR (5 years) on Tier 2 General .

Switch From PSW to Tier 2 General
Switch From Tier 4 to PSW

Do I need to supply all my visa or just Tier 2 Visa details for 5 years

Hello All,

I have a query on the date of my application of ILR. As per the policy, we can apply 28 days before the completion of the 5 years of the continuous period. Is this date of application calculated till the date of your online application where you book the fees or is it till the date have your appointment to submit your documents at premium service?

My appointment on 14 November
Application date on the online form 5th October
28 days qualifying period starts on 8th November

Please help with this.

Hello,

Please can you update how you appointment went and if it was successful ? I have made the same mistake i.e. Appointment date is 07th Jan 2019
Application date on online form 11th December 2018
28 days qualifying period starts 01st Jan2019

Please can you reply me as soon as possible, i am really stressed out

Thank you very much Yasheer. One question , I have submitted online application yesterday and received an email today that my application has been received and is being considered. Obviously I have yet to upload all the documents online so not sure how they will consider it without any supporting docs. I reckon you must have received the same ? But I assume our application will not be considered until we visit the premium appointment centre with all the original docs and provide our BRP ?

Please can you update in detail about your experience tomorrow. I wish you all the best!

Can members please either start their own topics regarding ILR queries or if new system questions post in the new UKCVAS system in the topics we already have instead of tagging onto the OPs thread.
