Hello. Am a British citizen am coming to malta to leave with my non eu wife . I would like to know how to get the residents card over.what document I need. Thanks

You can but the Schengen visa is granted based on the country you are going to spend the most time as your main destination.
So normally the expectation is that Germany is your destination as you were granted visa from them not Malta
Technically, you are expected to stick to your original itinerary evidence you submitted to the German embassy

That ain't true.
Schengen visa is only needed for entry from EU fam. members.
You can go anywhere in the Schengen area with a Schengen visa and your spouse and do whatever you want pretty much basically.
