Can someone apply for extension visa from abroad??

Can someone apply for extension visa from abroad??

Hi,
I am the main applicant and I will be applying for extension visa next year. My three dependants will be staying abroad, can they apply from there and get an extension visa? They will be staying for less than 180 days.

Any suggestions regarding this matter.

(Casa, not CR001)

When do their visas expire?

What is their full UK immigration history?
Char (CR001 not Casa)

Technically they need no extension. Extension is only when applying within the Uk. They apply for entry clearance and enter the UK
