New application Tier-1 Entrepreneur

Post by Mfarhanali » Wed Dec 12, 2018 4:28 am

Guys,
Can you please make my confusion clear on the below points?

- Can i show a third party account statement, and he will sign a letter that confirms he is giving me £200k to start a business.
- Do i need to show 90-days bank statement in my home country only, or i have to transfer £200k to UK.
- Can i buy a business which is already running in UK, and expend it as per my plan?
- Do i need to invest all £200k or i can start with £10k to £20k and end up with max £50K before getting an extension for 2 years.
- do i need to hire full-time British citizens for 3 years?
- If my business will be in loss after 3 years, then can i get the extension for 2 years?

==> Yes, read the guidance on documents needed. It not just a letter.
- Do i need to show 90-days bank statement in my home country only, or i have to transfer £200k to UK.
==> Home country is fine
- Can i buy a business which is already running in UK, and expend it as per my plan?
==> Yes, you can buy. But any money that goes to the previous owner is not counted towards the 200K requirement
- Do i need to invest all £200k or i can start with £10k to £20k and end up with max £50K before getting an extension for 2 years.
==> You have to invest the entire 200K before extension
- do i need to hire full-time British citizens for 3 years?
==> No, you only need to hire two SETTLED workers for 12 months each within that 3 years
- If my business will be in loss after 3 years, then can i get the extension for 2 years?
==> Yes, you can

Hi Marcnath,

Thank you so much for clarifications.

Sorry for asking you my first point again.
Can i show a third party UK account having £200k available?. and i will provide all the required documents. if yes then, is it must to show 90-days statement?

And i want to open a restaurant, Will they accept this business for tier-1(Entrepreneur) visa?

There is no 90 day requirement for third party funds.

There are no restrictions on the type of business (except for property related)

Read the guidelines to show what evidence you need to show for investment. Investment is money INTO the business. You are listing expenses which is money OUT OF the business.
