How long would it take to get your passport after the decision overturned

Hi there! Does any one know how long would it take to get passport back after you send it to vac center? I applied for a visa for my son to join the parents it was refused but then we appealed. Dec 3 2018 they e-mailed me asking for my son's passport and told me that it was overturned. We send his passport on Dec 5 2018 and up to now Jan 9 2019 we didn't hear or receive anything. If you guys could help me some advice I really appreciate it thanks!
