Application type : (FLR(FP) Partner & Parent
Application Submitted on : 29 July 2018
Postal or In Person Application : Postal via solicitor
Acknowledgement Received on (for postal app) : 3rd August 2018
Biometric Letter Received : 6 September 2018
Biometrics Enrolled on : 12 September 2018
Additional Documents Requested on (if any): none
Decision of Application : waiting
Date of Decision : waiting

I have a British partner and 2 British kids.

I know it can take from 6 months up to even a year or more but what I don’t understand is HO refunded application fees and IHS in full in November with no explanation. HO returned all supporting documents on 4th December 2018 again with no explanation.

I haven’t received any letters to say my application is invalid or rejected or accepted so I presume it’s still being considered. Has that happened to anyone else?

Thanks in advance.

If they sent u refund I suggest u should ring them or get your solicitor to ring them because for them refunding your application fee means all is not well..i wish u all the best

Please what is your immigration history. Did you apply outside the rules under human rights?

Yes, I was reporting prior to my FLR FP application. Was detained and kept in temporary detention for a few hours and received a bail based on asylum claim which I withdrew after submitting FLR FP.

I recently found out that they never received withdrawal request for my asylum case until few weeks ago so maybe they refunded the fees based on me having 2 cases pending or that they class me as an asylum seeker and therefore I shouldn’t have to pay. The fees I paid for my flr FP was my wife’s money so we’re glad we got it back because we really need it as she’s unemployed full time mother and I’m not allowed to work. But there’s something telling me that the money being refunded doesn’t sound too good.

Calling them is not an option because we can’t afford to pay for unnecessary waiting times just to be given a standard reply so I am going to write to the home office to clarify the matter.

What did you have to show them to qualify for the fee waiver?

Have been reading comments on here , so I decided to share my own story..i applied may18 2017 via fee waiver and the HO sent me first letter on June 1st saying my application raised issues related to the European convention on human right which are complex as such it's falls outside the normal service standard..that they Will make a decision on my case as quick as possible
August 28 the sent me a letter saying they have accepted my fee waiver and always send letter to go do boimetres.
Boimetres done same day....have been been on the waiting game and rang them 3 weeks ago and they sent me mail saying I just have to wait that my case is still on going...Please can anyone advice on what to do it's more than 6 months now

There is no longer an online application status check website. HO removed it in December 2017. The post you quoted is from 2017!!

Hi all,

After a tribunal hearing, how long would it normally take for judges to announce their decision on a FLR(FP) case?

Can anyone share their experience please?

Thanks
