British Citizenship

Post by krssubbu » Mon Jan 14, 2019 5:18 pm

Hi

This question might be asked previously but wanted to confirm if the PCN's would affect the British Citizenship application and where do I declare them

All PCN's are paid or cacelled status - never had to go to court

Thanks

3.1 - 3.2 You must give details of all criminal convictions both within and outside the
United Kingdom. These include road traffic offences.
Fixed penalty notices (such as speeding or parking tickets) must be disclosed,
although will not normally be taken into account unless:
• you have failed to pay and there were criminal proceedings as a result
• you received 3 or more fixed penalty notices at any level
• in the past 3 years you received 2 or more fixed penalty notices, at least one of
which, was at the upper levels (fine of £200 or more)

Nope, if you have received Parking tickets for which you have paid £35 or £70 within the 14 day period without any court proceedings, I dont think there is any need to declare them.

I also think its not something which will effect the application.

PCN are not supposed to be declared. Its only FPN need to be declared.

Remember the PCN are issues to the vehicle not the owner. There can be many owners/drivers of that car.

Also, council don't share this information with Police or Home office.

For myself:

1. AN Form
2. Passport
3. ILR BRP
4. Life in the UK Pass certificate
5. Degree thought in the UK
6. Original degree certificate You state 'degree' twice, why? Do not submit a foreign degree if you have a UK degree.
7. P60 for last 5 years Not required
8. Marriage certificate if spouse is also applying
9. Bank statements for the past 6 months Not required
10. Council tax letter for this year Not required
11. UK driving license Not required
12. Naturalisation fee payment page Why aren't you applying online??
13. Passport fee payment page There is no longer a Joint citizenship and passport application service.
14. references What exactly do you mean by 'references'??

Child under 10 years

1. MN1 Form
2. Passport
3. ILR BRP
6. Original degree certificate (Optional, check with NCS) Not required OR relevant to CHILDREN
7. Marriage certificate for parents
8. Letter from Spouse saying no objection for child citizenship Not required
9. Birth certificate for child
10. Mothers and fathers passport copy
11. reference letters Again, what exactly do you mean??
12. Naturalization fee payment page Children are Registered, not Naturalised.
13. Passport fee payment page There is no longer a Joint citizenship and passport application service.

Please let me know

Thanks CR001 - I just thought I would post it as another topic so that people can reference it and will benift them but no worries

So what I meant by references is 2 references who will have to sign the application form?
Also I understood its online, so is the citizenship and application separate now? Iam probably referring to NCS rule

I also travelled outside of UK for business and pleasure but all less than 90 days and 450 days in 5 years - should I still get a letter from my work place?

Anything else I have missed out in the list?

So you are referring to the referee pages that you have to complete and they have to sign. It is part of the online form.
Also I understood its online, so is the citizenship and application separate now? Iam probably referring to NCS rule
What do you mean by the highlighted bit above??? What NCS rule are you referring to? Your posts are not clear to me.
I also travelled outside of UK for business and pleasure but all less than 90 days and 450 days in 5 years - should I still get a letter from my work place?
There is NO requirement to have letters from your employer for citizenship!!! You are NOT repeating the ILR process.

Thanks CR001

Sorry what I meant was, from reading, looks like Passport and Citizenship is separate now - it is not the same as NCS process right?

Second is Do i need a letter from employer saying what ever I travelled was for business reasons? (The absence is less than 90 days for a year and 450 days for 5 years)

Also is there anything I missed off the list - thinking about the big money if I missed it:)

There is no longer a joint citizenship and passport service.

NO!! There is NO differentiation between business and personal absence for citizenship. You are NOT repeating the ILR or visa process!!
Also is there anything I missed off the list - thinking about the big money if I missed it:)
I provided my relevant comments on your list of what is NOT required.

8. Letter from Spouse saying no objection for child citizenship Not required - thats actually required -as per online checklist for MN1 application.

"A letter of consent from xxxxx''s parent(s) or legal guardian(s)
The letter must:
give their full names and addresses
say that they agree to let you apply for a British citizenship
If you have more than one parent or legal guardian, they must both sign the letter and confirm that they agree
to what it says. If you only have one parent or legal guardian they must explain why the other parent is unable
to consent e.g. whereabouts unknown, no contact since MM/YYYY."
