Urgent Tier 2 advise

Post by Rose12 » Tue Dec 18, 2018 7:52 pm

Hi,

Could someone advise if the salary mentioned for the SOC code 2136 is based on 37.5 hrs or 40 hrs?

Is that okay if the company offered the minimum required salary for SOC code 2136 for 37.5 hrs?

Shortage occupation or non shortage occupation SOC??

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration ... illed-work
The “experienced worker” rate will apply in all other cases.
(e) Where Appendix K requires a job holder to have a minimum level of experience, the “experienced worker” rate will always apply.
(f) The rates stated are per year and are based on the following weekly hours:

(i) Where the source is the Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings, a 39-hour week;
(ii) Where the source is NHS Agenda for Change or the equivalent source for each of the devolved administrations, or the Royal Institute of British Architects, a 37.5-hour week;
(iii) Where the source is teachers’ national pay scales, on the definition of a full-time teacher as used when determining those pay scales;
(iv) where the source is the National Grid submission to the Migration Advisory Committee, a 37-hour week;
(v) In all other cases, a 40-hour week.

Rates will be pro-rated based on the number of working hours stated on the Certificate of Sponsorship. The exceptions are ‘Skilled chef as defined in the Shortage Occupation List in Appendix K’ and ‘Overhead linesworker at Linesman Erector 2 (LE2) level and above’, where the appropriate rates cannot be pro-rated down for shorter working hours as they form a key part of the shortage occupation criteria recommended by the Migration Advisory Committee.
Salary rates:
New entrant: £24,000

[Source: Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings 2014 (no equivalent 2015 or 2016 data available)]

Experienced worker: £32,000

This is a non-shortage occupation. Is that okay if they offer me the minimum required £32,000 per annum for 37.5 hrs contract?

Urgent COS

Post by Rose12 » Wed Dec 19, 2018 5:09 pm

Hi,

My company is in the process of applying for CoS. It is required to give Job ID number while giving RLMT details, but the company says they don't have a Job ID number. They conducted RLMT using Findajob site and another website.

What could be done in this situation? Could someone please advice?

Thanks

Urgent

Post by Rose12 » Wed Dec 19, 2018 8:04 pm

Hi,

Currently, I am on Tier 2 ICT dependent visa expires in 2019. I have been offered a new job and the company agrees to sponsor me. I am trying to switch from Tier 2 ICT dependant to Tier 2 General. They are now in process of the CoS. I have the below doubts.

1. Current address - Should I specify my current UK Address or my home country address?
2. UK NI number - Should I give my NI number?

1. UK Address is fine.

2. Yes, why not if you have one.

Note that to 'switch' refers to applications made WITHIN the UK. You are not 'switching' but applying for a new entry clearance visa from your home country with a RCoS.

1. Note that the forum is not an 'on demand' service where we get instant notification of a post. We are all unpaid volunteers who offer our time for free.

2. Why are you getting involved in things that are your sponsors duties and responsibilities?

Could someone advise if the Tier 2 General visa online application can be submitted from the UK and then go to the home country to attend the Biometric appointment.
