Criminal Conviction

Dear All,

I had an argument with a stranger recently and the case went to court. The court found me guilty in absence and fined me 40 pound. I plead not guilty because I did not commit the crime at all. The court has set a new date which is after 6 month later. I will apply now for the UK Visa, Do I consider that I have a criminal conviction?
