Registering Child as British National (MN1) after Parents Recieved ILR

Post by raghu.raju457 » Fri Jan 18, 2019 3:26 pm

Hi All & Experts

Apologies if these questions are already asked in the forum, I am not familiar with MN1 process and new online system.

Me and my wife both received ILR (LR) confirmation yesterday so I have started digging through the process for applying MN1 for my daughter (4 years old). She is born in UK holding Indian passport with the Tier 2 dependent visa until October 2020.

Can she travel to India with the current visa (Tier 2 dependent visa)?

I am trying to fill the online form but stuck on the below questions

Settled status in UK
Have you had settlement in the UK? (is this my status or the Daughter status)
if I say yes then it's asking for the BRP details, if I click No letting me to go to next question which is

Your Name

Title Given Name & Surname (does this details to be my daughters details?)

Thanks for your advise

A:Yes, she can. Applying for BC does not stop you from traveling using your BRP.

Settled status in UK
Have you had settlement in the UK? (is this my status or the Daughter status)

A: Yes, for your daughter. ‘You’ is referring to the applicant throughout the application.

if I say yes then it's asking for the BRP details, if I click No letting me to go to next question which is

A: enter your daughter’s BRP #

Your Name

Title Given Name & Surname (does this details to be my daughters details?)

A: Yes
See above answers. I just went through the process recently and the application is very confusing with lots of opportunities to improve. Good luck!

Hi SidiBou

Thanks for the information, can you please clarify on

Settled status in UK
Have you had settlement in the UK? (is this my status or the Daughter status)

My Daughter currently holding Tier 2 dependent visa not an ILR. Do I need to say yes for this question and pass her Tier 2 Dependent visa BRP number?

Thanks

Hi Can anyone please share there recent experience with the MN1 online process please. while i am reading some post online i can see some process called NCS not sure what is that or how to book this.

Do we have new UKVCAS system for MN1 as well or do we need to book bio metrics appointment in post office.

Do we need to send the original passports of the child and parents along with the ILR BRP cards?

Thanks in advance
