Stamp 1 - General Skills eligible for naturalization/citzenship?

Post by dgpgomes » Tue Jan 22, 2019 8:36 pm

Hi all,

I've been in Ireland since 2011, many of these years with a stamp 2 (student) visa. In January 2016 I got a new job that granted me a stamp 1 (General skills) work permit. Today I was chatting with another friend that has same type of permit and she told me the General Skills permit does not count for citzenship/naturalization after 5 years, only the Critical Skills does, this kinda freaked me out, I was sure it was counting all the way...
Even if I go to the naturalization calculator it shows what i expected, 700-something days and counting...
Can someone confirm this please?

Thank you

Yours,

Douglas
