Naturalisation payment

Post by Jennifer93 » Fri Jan 11, 2019 12:09 am

I made an application on the 28th of December for British citizenship.
My solicitor posted it on the 31/12/18 next day delivery. However I check my online banking the money still isn’t debited by ukvi. Can someone tell me how long do they take the money out once received paper application.
Thanks

For what purpose would you use a solicitor when it's a very simple form to fill out.

Also why would you not fill it out online and pay online..

Mate why are you very negative and aggressive? All your posts have a hint of aggressiveness to it. If the Lady felt she needed to use a solicitor and send it by post then she is well within her rights to do so and its none of your business!

But they really should warn people that people applying online would take priority.
I just saw on the tracker someone who applied after me has already had their biometrics done!!!

When applying online and posting the applicarion, you get to download the biometrics letter as part of the process. No need to wait for ho to send a letter by post.

If applying online and using the new service, you enroll biometrics at one of the new service centres

Hi Jennifer,

I am kind of on the same boat as you. I have applied my application by NCS service. My documents also been posted on 31st December and received by Home Office on 2nd January 2019.
I've checked my online banking after reading your post but no sign of pending transaction by Home Office.

Keep me posted.

Regards
Philip

I think we need to relax a bit - sympathise it's a frustrating process. Even my payment 2.5 years ago was taken only after two weeks.

Pls, could you inform me if your payment has been taken from your accounts?
I'm just asking because everyone here submitted after me by paper application
It's going to three weeks. I need to keep abreast of this.
This is the home office and I just hope that my documents have not gone missing. :( :(

It's been now more than 2 weeks. No sign of even pending payment.

Applicants who applied in October or November 2018 their fee been taken with in 10-12 days as per their timeline.

Please share your timeline if anyone has applied via ncs or postal and payment still not taken !!!

Hope its only backlog. It kind a worry till get acknowledgement. It shouldn't be taking that long to acknowledge applicant!! Members in October got biometrics letters in 10 days. Flipping hell home office is nightmare

Another thread someone who submitted in November only got their fee taken out on January 14th. Imagine that. We should not be surprised if our fee is taken in March at this stage.

I've chased them up - they have confirmed they have received the application (but for some reason date is different from Royal Mail tracking), but cannot provide an estimate as to when fee will be taken / application formally acknowledged.

Application submitted in 13th December.

Payment was taken 10th January.

Bio enrolled 15th January.

I supposed it's about a month for the payment to be taken.

Dear all

I think they have lost my application. I received an email from UKVI and they told me it is not on the system.
I gave them the tracking number. My whole life is in that application, 3 passports, life in the UK, masters certificate, biometric card etc, drivers licence.
Pathetic.

Hi Zinao

I am sorry to hear about that email. I am so concerned with my application also. Home office are pathetic and lazy with their job role.

Now my four weeks are nearly finishing on Wednesday. They still haven't taken payment. I can't believe how irresponsible they are with applications. How can they email you saying they don't have any database on system which is ridiculous.

I am keep on checking my emails but no email or post so far.

@Jessica have you heard anything?

Thank You. I just hope and pray that they find it or I may have to go to Liverpool myself.
Will give them a week

Ppl who applied the same time as I have been getting theirs approved now. I only applied with paper because I could not get an appointment with NCS before it closed.

Pls, ppl don't apply with paper.
It seems they are giving other people priority.

Hi Zinao,

Did you contact home office about your status of application before you received email from home office that they don't have record of your application.
When did you actually applied?

My application was received on the 31st of December 2018. All I did was ask for acknowledgement.

In all my years of dealing with the home office, they always send one.

We are kind of around the same time. My application submitted on 31st and received by home office on 2nd January. So hoping to receive by next week otherwise I will be contacting home as their deadline is 4 weeks.

Keep me posted please Zinao.
