BRP does not mention family member

Post by murtuzah » Sun Jan 27, 2019 4:11 pm

Hi

Wife arrived in the UK and we collected her BRP however it does not state that she is a family
member/spouse of a UK/EU national.

Is this still printed on BRP’s as I note it’s required for the relaxed schengen visa?

Also the BRP says work permitted however no NI number is printed (unless i’m not looking in the right place)? Is this normal or do i need to contact them?

Thanks

Useful to state what visa was applied for??

A spouse settlement visa BRP does not state (and never has) that the holder is a Family member of an EU citizen. It is only EEA route applications (EEA FP and EEA residence cards) that state this.

Sorry she came via a spouse visa.

Is it normal for the NI number to not be printed?

Yes, that's normal. She will have to apply for a NI number separately.
