Dependent ILR

Post by VWS » Wed Jan 30, 2019 8:40 am

Hi Senior Group members

Just a quick question please.

My Partner was granted initial Dependent Visa in Nov 2017 which is now renewed again because of my status. To complete the 5 years in 2022 she will need another extension for sure which would be another extension of the Dependent visa.

Will 180 days absence rule apply on her if she lives outside for 5-6 months or more?

Thanks

Yes she will be subject to the 180 days absence limit if any of her visa extensions are issued on or after 11th January 2018.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Just for the record... that 180 days rule is counted for absence per calendar year and not in 5 consecutive years.

Thanks
