Hi IB,
I have filled the set(o) form online in this link(
https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/product/set-o) 2 days ago and I paid the fee of 2400 but I haven't booked yet the appointment with UKVCAS.
Unfortunately checking the form with my wife we found that I've made some errors in the application.
In the email I have received by UKVI for the payment confirmation it says that if you need to change any data in the application you have to make another application. So I went back the to the website filling another application hoping to have the choice to use the existing payment but when I am at the Payment step it only asks the card type (visa, mastercard etc.) and I don't see any option on how to re-use the payment, considering that is a payment with a specific reference number.
I've sent an email to ApplyOnlineE-SUpport asking what to do basically and their reply was:
-----
The new online application would require a new fee, you would be unable to use the fee for the initial application.
Please be advised that if you don't submit the supporting documents and enrol your biometrics for the application you have submitted within the required timescale your previous application will be voided by the relevant case worker and they will advise you regarding any refund due to you.
We are unable to provide timescale or further assistance with refunds.

From this response I fee
Any suggestion please?
Does exists any option to cancel the application and ask for full refund or to lose a small amount?
Some people suggest to print out the form and when upload in the UKVCAS website blank the old answers and correct manually(I can also print the answers filled with the new application not submitted and split the pages) - I can do this but do you think the UKVCAS will still accept my application?
Other suggestion is to fill manually the set(o) form and when you go to the appointment bring the offline form and use the payment reference you paid online.
When the home office checks the form which one do they check, the one filled online in teh website mentioned above or the one submitted through UKVCAS?
Looks like there are different options but I don't want just to try, I want to go for which is the best option and considering the response times from Home Office I am a bit concerned because my current BRP is valid until August 2019.
I am desperate and I cannot believe that I'm going to lose £2400, is just unfair that for a simple record update in a database to pay another fee of £2400 in 2019.
Thanks in advance
