Visitor Visa - Treatment at NHS

Post by VijayUK » Sun Feb 03, 2019 5:37 pm

Hi,

My Father in Law visited A&E around 4 yyears back when he was in UK on visitors visa. Now to apply New visitor visa there was a question about treatment if received from NHS.

He had his ECG, Blood pressure checked and later no bill was sent to our address as well.

Does it come under treatment or just a consultation or check-up.
Just wanted to check if it should be declared or not ?

Regards, VJ

Doesn't look like something that would've costed NHS for those checkups. You could say no to that question, but check the guidance or wait for other opinions.
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

Probably declare to having used NHS. However, as they were in the A&E, they were free.

I think it is best to declare rather than being questioned later.

what are the chances of Visa getting rejected because of this.

We were never told or asked to pay any amount.
