Hi!

I went to the new centre in Manchester. I did not upload any documents online, but I was able to upload all my documents at the centre. It was relatively quick as they have a double sided scanner for the papers, pictures, etc. I was told that the pictures would only show up as black and white which is a bummer. The guy that helped me scanned all my important documents which was about 1/2 inch thick and (because I had trouble scanning in my fingerprints and QR code that you need to scan in for biometrics) the appointment took 1 hour 20 minutes when they try to average about 20 minutes per appointment. No complaints from anyone and everyone was quite helpful despite me being frustrated things weren't scanning in first time with my prints and QR code but it's all done now. Another positive thing- YOU GET TO KEEP ALL YOUR DOCUMENTS INCLUDING YOUR PASSPORT. They physically take NOTHING and ONLY SCAN your original documents. So it's a relief being able to keep my passport (though I won't be going anywhere until I receive my residency card!)

On a 10 year route, 2.5 years in.
Brilliant! I have my appointment in the same centre tomorrow :) I have scanned everything and uploaded so it should not be a long one. Would love to know if you have already heard anything? What appointment did you have (normal or super priority)?

Hi ABasu!

I haven't heard anything yet (but then again it's been a few days!) I had a normal one as I've read some people not getting their answer back any quicker with priority. The only super priority is in London, and with the health fee going up 8 days before I could have filled in my visa, I was pretty upset having to cough up an extra 500. I expect to hear something within 8 weeks (unless they want more documentation from me, which is fine as long as I'm approved!) Hope this helps and best wishes with a speedy residency card! :D

I had a very positive experience with UKVCAS center in Croydon yesteday (8 Feb 2019).

I've managed to book an appointment 2 days in advance for 100 GBP. I arrived 45 minutes earlier, but I was allowed to go in. Registration process and security checks were efficient. Specialist scanned my passport, collected fingerprints, made a photo and checked uploaded documents. Everything was in order, and the whole process took about 20 minutes. Staff was very polite.

My only concern is photo. I was photographed with a hand-held camera without stand, so I am bit worried about photo quality. I did not receive my BRP yet.

Decision was made in 8 hours. Unexpectedly pleasant and smooth experience overall.

Hello all,

I am wondering if anyone has used one of the enhanced service points?

My wife applied for SET M and all the 5 local service points were unavailable. Only the Croydon one had many bookings free.

Has anyone actually booked one NOT at a core service point?

Thanks!

I think its best to just wait the 6-8 weeks and see what comes back. Mine will be 6weeks on 1st March and 8 weeks on 15th March. If I don't hear anything after that time then I can begin to make enquiries. I am sure the home office will be very busy this time particularly with Brexit deadline approaching.

From what I have read from various message boards, it doesn't seem like the time given had been missed by the HO so far on the new system. A lot of people that have applied using the premium fast route did get the confirmation and approval. Will let you all know when I hear anything cos for now am just waiting like most people are.

Hi all super useful (also for emotional support :) ) forum.

I went to my spouse visa application in croydon on the 8th of Feb and haven't heard anything from anyone since.... could anyone advice me what to do. I did phone the hotline pressed options 3 2 1 but was told I cant escelate the complaint until 5 working days have passed (which is monday only!). As you all probably know it is quite a scary situation having heard nothing, especially knowing that many other friends and colleagues on my route had in fact recieved answers after 24 ours via email.

All the best,

A

Hi Ajay,

I haven't gotten anything back yet though I expect as much because it's only been 10 days and I paid for standard. So 6-8 weeks later as usual unless they want something from me.

Hello All,

I'm a bit confused now regarding my date of ILR application: should this be the date you first entered UK or when the T2G general visa was issued?

This is from the set(o) form I was trying to fill in:

Date you first entered the UK

When did you first enter the UK? (Required)
This is the date you entered the UK when the period of stay you are basing this application on started.

1. Ideally, you should be posting your ILR application questions, in the ILR sub forum and not in this topic which is only about the new service centres experience. You seem to have posted all your Set O form questions in this topic!!

2. ILR qualifying period starts from date of initial visa validity.

3. Date you entered the UK is obvious, is it not?? It is the date you ENTERED the UK, as the questions asks.

Hi,

We are applying for my Partner & Child's ILR as PBS dependants (I already have ILR). I'm collecting all the documents and was wondering how the Passports should be scanned.

Is creating a single PDF with the photo page, address page and all the travel stamps acceptable?

Do I need to do the same for the old passport?

I'm planning to upload the Current Passport pdf under 'Proof of Application' section and the old passport with BRP under the 'Proof of Identity & Travel History'. Would this be fine?

Many thanks.

Hi,
I don't know if its only me but has anyone uploaded any document(s) AFTER their Bio metric appointment with Sopra Steria? (Say the next day after the appointment?)

Basically my appointment with Sopra Steria was on Thursday 7th of March 2019. Bio metric and all scans went as normal and I uploaded all the documents successfully at Sopra office (although there was this same issue which is discussed in another thread i.e. No documents required under 'mandatory' category and only option to upload documents is via 'other documents' Just a reminder that this is absolutely normal so don't get worried and upload all your documents under 'Other Documents' category)

Now I didn't upload the 'consent forms' during my Sopra appointment as I was going by the Home Office document check list provided at the last screen after making payment (My app is SET LR under 10 years long residency route using Super priority, paid £610 extra and the Home Office check list for the above category never mentioned the consent forms of me and my wife)

The HO website promises to reply you within 24 Hrs but I have still not heard anything from them and its Saturday morning 4:00 am as I write this post. Just realised now that I needed to submit the consent form, I went back to Sopra website and feeling lucky. The upload links on their website are still active and I have uploaded the consent forms but this is after almost 1.5 days of my initial Bio M appointment.

Could someone please tell me if this delay by HO is due to me not submitted the consent forms during my Sopra appointment? Also, now that I have submitted the consent forms (after 1.5 days of my appointment) will they pull my file again and make a decision? I am assuming that after submitting my Bio metrics and other documents on Thursday, one of the HO officers already dealt with my application (most probably on Friday) the question is will they get notified of my recently uploaded consent forms OR how does the HO case working system work? Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.
Regards,

I made my ILR application set(O) via T2G route yesterday 08-Mar-2019 and booked an appointment at Croydon via Super Priority appointment today (09-Mar-2019). During appointment only biometric and passport details were collected, no documents were verified.

During which i was told i can get the status update at Gov.UK website using UAN#. But i don't see any such options. Any inputs please.

Application Date: 08-Mar-2019
Biometric date: 09-Mar-2019 (saturday)

When does my 24 hours time line for Super priority occurs owing due to weekend? So that I can expect an action from HO please.

Please post your Super Priority questions in the specific Super Priority topic we already have which you are well aware of having posted there previously already and not post in this one for standard/general UKCVAS non super priority apps topics.

Greetings to everyone.
I received my new Biometric for my FLR (M) 30MONTHS towards 5year route last Wednesday
I applied through the new online system on the standard fee. I did not receive any acknowledgement after my biometrics was taken and submission.
It has taken the HO exactly 6weeks and 3 days processing time after I submitted which seems to be within the 6-8weeks as they advised. good luck to all others waiting. I know it can be worrying especially when you don't have any acknowledgement to show for it.

Did you receive a letter of your application been granted first followed by your residence permit?

We went to Croydon yesterday as Cardiff was almost fully booked. Handy secure car park next to it, Ruskin Square car park.

The process is swift. Take biometrics, checked documents we had uploaded were good enough quality and verified passport and BRP.

We have the UAN#, but no GWF or confirmation letter. How does one prove to their employer their application is in process?

We have the IHS and PRN (payment) numbers.

Show your employers your appointment letter and your IHS confirmation. That is enough prove and if your employer is not satisfied then they will need to contact the HO directly with those details.

Sopra Steria says you can upload documents until 22:00 of the day of the appointment. However I don't know what the Sopra agent does when she verifies the documents you have already uploaded, and have not attempted to access our upload portal since the appointment.
