British citizenship (naturalization) and a British passport

Hi Team,

I have a question regarding British citizenship (naturalization) and a British passport application. I have read many posts and comments related to this topic. However, all comments are very old (2016, 2017). I need to know, can I apply for British citizenship (naturalization) and a British passport application all together online.

I have ILR and completing 1 year period in 17th May 2019 so thinking to submit my application on 20th May 2019.

Please can you help me to understand the latest/current process?

No it isn't possible anymore. You will have to wait till you are approved and attended your ceremony before can apply for the passport.

Fine, provided your were physically present in the UK on the same date 5 years ago.

Apply online and then either post the original documents or use the new UKCVAS service and get to keep originals.

what happened if I had 30 or 40 days of holidays every year and away from the UK in the last 5 years. Is that an issue?

You are permitted to have absence. The absence limit for citizenship is no more than 450 days in the whole 5 years immediately preceding date of application and no more than 90 days in the 12 months preceding date of application.

The mandatory requirement of physically present on the same date 5 years ago as the date you applied is separate to this.

This has been answered 100s of times on the forum and the online form tells you what is required.

English requirement

Completed naturalization application form. The document page in the application process shows that two referee documents.

In addition to the passport, BRP, Life in the UK, and English. It says two referee documents, can you let me know how to create referee documents. Is there any template available on the Gov.uk website.
