I applied from Pakistan in 2017 and it took 20 months. Anyone here on the forum might have different experience and hopefully will share with you.

Is it a big secret that you cannot post publicly??

Abuse or sending unsolicited pms can result in the privilege being withdrawn permanently.

Well nothing to be kept secret , i thought it is un appropriate to write in our native language in this thread. So i sent PM. otherwise no such intentions of keeping something secret... I didnt knew before that Private messages are prohibbited. I just saw an option of private message so i did. Thanks for clarification regarding your rules.

Cheers and Peace

Hi Bluemoon2,
I didn’t get any response from them as in november they told me December I will get decision as now i am at final stage after the consultation process and in December they stopped working due the their office change merging into passport office. Last time I spoke to them they said you will definitely get decision but for physical cert you might need to wait further 2 months.
I am coming back to Dublin in march again hopefully by that time its sorted.
Hope its all good with you.
All the best

Its very unfair Dublin3. 25 months wait is crazy while other are getting in 6 months. I waited myself 20 months and know what is wait like.
Hopefully they will keep their words this time and you will get POSITIVE decision this month.

I am waiting for wife's visa decision.

All the best Dunlin3

Yes 6th feb 2017. They never keep their words about time. They did staff training and office move in January and they sent me an e mail informing me of further delay. I was told the same that I will get decision in couple of weeks time.
I am moving back to Ireland in March if I dont have a decision by that time I will surely take them to court.
All the best

Hi ,
I didn’t contact DFA since. I am coming back to Dublin in March so if I dont have a decision by 10th of march I will sent them a letter through my solicitor. Average waiting time from Pakistani applicants is 2 years.
I have been waiting 25 months now

Yes , I did get it last year but it was rubbish as they only sent me the photo copies of all my documents they have in their record so its impossible to guess about your files progress if you get your file under FOI.
