Hi All,

Do I need to scan my documents to upload online? Or I need to send them after online submission?

Also one of my referee is on holiday until 24 Feb. I have all his details.

Just wanted to check if I need referee while filling the online form. Or I get a referee page to print & sign & referee?

Your referees need to each sign the referee forms.

You only need the signed form when you attend your UKVCAS appointment so make sure you only book this after your referee returns.

Regarding your fines: I would strongly consider declaring all of them. They are unlikely to hold up your application (see guidance above), however you may be barred for 10 years if the home office feel you tried to conceal them ie you have a lot to loose from not declaring and nothing to gain

Hi Gurus,

I am about to finish off my online Naturalisation application. Before clicking submit just wanted to confirm.

I left UK back on 1st March 2014 & returned back in July 2014.

Am I good to submit the application online before 01 March 2019? Also my appointment will be only in March. 5 years back I was away from UK in this period.

Can someone please advise on my case?

Worth remembering that the date of your departure and date of arrival are both taken as being present in the UK. Therefore, if you flew out on 1st March 2014, you would be considered as being present on that date.

What date did you acquire your ILR/PR on? Can you apply earlier than 1st March. Not wise to leave it so finely balanced.

Thank you for your reply. Issue date on my ILR is 16 Mar 2013.

I flew out of UK on 01 March 2014. If 01 March is taken into account as presence in UK then I think I can submit online until 01 March I guess?

I am just on last few pages now. Trying to figure out all the details online. Very exhaustive

I just want to know if Home Office considers online submission date as application received by Home Office or appointment date?

Date of application is the date you submit and pay online.

Dear All,

Finally I have managed to complete & submit the Online application form. Also I have booked appointment for Biometric & documents for 11 March in London.

Just wanted to confirm all the documents I need to take with me:

Appointment Letter
Original Passport
Original BRP card
Printed Application form
Both Referee Declaration Letters along with 2 photo pasted on it
Life in UK TEST letter
English Pass certificate

Do I need anything else? Like any more photograph? Any other documents I am missing?

that all you need.

No need to print the application form and the only thing they want to actually see is your passport and potentially BRP. They will offer to rescan any of your documents if your own scans are not of good enough quality.

I applied for Naturalisation online on 27 Feb. Appointment if for 11 March.

My Checklist for documents on Home Office website is as below :

The passport issued by India for XXXXXXXXXXXX- I HAVE THIS
XXXXXXXX Life in the UK Test pass notification- I HAVE THIS FROM ILR APPLICATION
Proof of living in the UK for XXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXX proof of freedom from immigration time restrictions-CURRENT ILR BRP CARD
Two referee declarations for XXXXXXXXX- I HAVE THIS
XXXXXXX evidence of identity
Current Biometric Residence Permit for XXXXXXX - I HAVE THIS

I need to know what documents I need to provide for 3rd and 6th requirements?
