Here we go.

I have managed to speak with one the agent.
Again no update on my file. I tried to challenge the person on the phone. I told her that I am waiting for last 2 years. This should be over already. She was not replying at all. She just told me that she cant do anything about it. She is just telling me what she see on the screen.

I asked her about ceremony. She told me that no date announced yet and no date is in plan. This could be later than April. She is suspecting May or June.
I told her that one of my friend has been informed that ceremony would be in April ( actually i heard here not from my friends :D )
Anyway she told me that she is not sure why they said this but no date has been assigned for this ceremony however April doesnt seem to possible.

those people on the phone are just nuts. got them on the phone and they reply like talking parrot. always the same reply. No usage to waste one min of your time trying to call them.
They all should be fired from work and give the job to people who are willing to work. simply as that. all of them are just time wasters.

Hello
I rang tham 100 times and picked up my phone by some strange lady. Was answering same answer for my every question..😳.. “all i can say your application is processing “..
Hi all, I called today and the lady answering my phone sounds exactly the same person as many of you are reporting. Definitely not a people person, appeared to be annoyed with her work, don't like to talk to anybody and absolutely don't want to give any information. She kept answering "your application continues to be processed", irrespective of what was my questions. Till we reach a point that I have to tell her, can you please answer my question rather than repeating yourself. Even then she kept repeating and I have to close the conversation by saying "thanks for sitting on the helpline and not being so helpful"
I can understand the stress of job on the helpline and who knows what she is going through in her life, but if you take a job to sit on a helpline for a public office, irrespective of the fact how many bl**dy annoying immigrants call you, you should at least pretend to be helpful...

Amazing technique. You can travel without gnib, but you must have re entry visa. I received my re entry without gnib (submitted approval letter and explained I don’t have gnib any more). Travelled 5+ times since,no questions asked

Received my approval in September. however the ceremony in November was full.
Hoping we get it in the first quarter of 2019.
Did you ask to return IRP back to you in the meantime while waiting for next ceremony?
Nope, However if the IRP has to be up to date at the ceremony date. if its expiring soon they Naturalization office will get in touch with you and send the card so you can renew it.
approval in September last year, My GNIB card expiring 29/03/2019. Naturalization office didn't get in touch with me yet, what should i do?

Just found this:

https://www.kildarestreet.com/wrans/?id ... 118#g636.r

I am advised by the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS) of my Department that the next date for a citizenship ceremony has been set for April 29th 2019 at the INEC in Killarney County Kerry.

As soon as additional dates for 2019 are agreed, these will be communicated via the INIS website.

So it does look like the ceremony date is set for 29 April. I wonder why they haven't announced on the website or informing people over the phone for this date. I recall that there was a ceremony in September last year which wasn't advertised as it was already full. I hope that is not the case and they do start rolling out approvals/invitations soon. Fingers crossed!

A further two ceremony dates are also confirmed to take place at the Killarney Convention Centre on the 30th of September and the 9th of December 2019. Invitations will issue in due course. Please do not contact us in this regard as we are not in a position to confirm invitation at this stage.

Great! That takes some of the suspense away so people can at least hope to be invited to one of the 3 ceremonies.

Good Morning,
Could someone tell me what does it mean if the INIS wrote in the approval letter that "send the required documents within 10 days in order to be considered in the next ceremony"? Does it mean that I will be scheduled for the ceremony of April?
Thanks

Those it say on everyone's approval letter to send 950euro and GNIB within 10 if they want to be considered in the next ceremony? I'm just thinking if this is their general template or to those they really want to attend next ceremony.

I think it's their general template as they said the same to me last year before 26th November 2018 ceremony to submit fees with in 10 days but they never invited me to ceremony.
