citizenship fee payment

Post by ygy225 » Thu Feb 28, 2019 5:22 pm

hi

could some one pls enlighten me?

when You receive the letter to make payment of 950 euros,
I read that it has to be posted with- bank draft payable to secretary general ,dept of justice and equality with
- your GNIB card.
- within 10 days.

1) is that 10 days from the date of issue of letter??
2) is that 10 working days or inclusive of weekends.

3) during that period when GNIB is sent off.
- are we allowed to take for a short 2-3 days trip and return without the gnib card??
- I am on a stamp 4 on my passport.
- I don't need a visa to enter Ireland, as I am from visa waiver country.

4) Are payment letters only issued by inis during the 2 months before the ceremony date? or any time throughout the process when completed.

Pls help

1) 10 days from when letter was posted. When did they post it to you?
2) you can but show them the letter from inis on way back at irish border if they ask for gnib
3) usually they send out approvals near ceremoniesbut occasionally some people get the approval letter months before the ceremony

Can I ask when you applied?

Change of address, in midst of citizenship application

Post by yyy2525 » Fri Mar 15, 2019 9:37 am

I am in midst of waiting for citizenship application. applied in July 2018.
I rang inis last week, and received email yesterday that my application is still being processed (replied by team 1) Watever tt may mean..

Just like to know if change of address would slow down / affect the processing time of application/ approval.
I think with possibility of being bumped to sept/dec ceremony, I am looking for a cheaper rent so i could cut down on expenditure, with tt terrible long wait till end of 2019.

Who else other that inis do i need to inform?

pls guide
