One little wrinkle - Tier 2 does not allowing contracting... it is a licence breach and when discovered the licence is revoked and you will be curtailed.

but any contracting i.e. fixed term contract work will be limited company and end client...contract may be found using agencies..as limited company will employ the candidate and they will perform duties on limited company behalf...client will pay limited company and limited company will in turn pay the candidate, employed as salaried, full time staff...

many thanks...

Get a real role with a proper sponsor... you have not spent any more than anyone else.... unless you bought the role as part of a dodgy scheme.

If you use an umbrella contract company that is a breach of tier 2 sponsor duties and knowingly undertaking contracting work as a tier 2 migrant can lead to instant curtailment and an individual fine for working illegally.

Many people do it but as the post you highlighted says the Home Office is cracking down more and more on this abuse.

The one man band company - is that a firm job offer? I would take it and at least that buys you time....

You cannot work if you are no longer employed by your tier 2 sponsor, not even the 20 hours per week. You can only start working again if you get a new sponsor and a new visa.

Post by batofgot » Sun Mar 17, 2019 5:34 pm

hi
it is possible to switch from tier 2 to tier 4...in -country
also if found employment when on tier 4 then would the clock re set to 0 or can continue on counting for tier 2 stay based on gap in employment..also, will it be possible to switch back to tier 2 later (hopefully continued length for ILR purposes)...

cheers...

Note that you might have difficulty getting a tier 4 sponsor if your current visa has been curtailed.

As you appear to previously have switched to tier 2 from a student visa, you know that it is possible.

Have your received curtailment and what is the date your visa has been curtailed to now??

As I said, you might not get a Tier 4 sponsor who will take the risk to issue you a CAS.
