Citizenship after ILR

Post by xeesee » Thu Mar 07, 2019 9:01 pm

Hello members,

I'm want ask a question on behalf of my friend.

My friends wife came to UK in 2008 on 2 years spouse visa which was expired on February 2010. For some reason he applied for his wife's extension late on July 2010. Home office gave 2 years visa but mention that in a letter that your application is out of time application and because you are a partner of British citizen we are giving you further leave to remain.

After completing 2 years of further leave to remain she an ILR in 2014.

Can she apply for British citizenship now or she needs to wait for 10 years from out of time application?

Thanks
