I appreciate all the advice I’ve received from these boards. Now, I have a question. My family and I are applying for Tier 2 visas. I have accepted a teaching position. In terms of savings, we have been putting all our extra funds into a 403 b account. It is not a pension account. Can we use that as proof of savings? Thank you!

Can your sponsor not give you a maintenance letter. It will be a lot simpler and straight forward. The guidance is money in bank account for other means of maintenance

My sponsor is sponsoring me, but I have a husband and two kids coming with me. I talked to the bank and I think they will write me a letter.

Your sponsor can also include your dependents on the maintenance letter. It is not uncommon. They are only providing a surety on a piece of paper and nothing more.
