Start up/ Innovator /T2

Post by abc789 » Sat Mar 30, 2019 11:28 am

hi
* can one switch to innovator visa from T2.
* can one switch to start up visa from T2.
* will start up visa time be counted for ILR purposes.
* if some one has completed say 2.5 years on T2 then can they switch to innovator visa (which i believe will be issued for 3 years leading to settlement immediately after 3 years) and apply for ILR combining the two..

Have you read the links on the Gov website ??? It clearly says you can switch from Tier 2.

https://www.gov.uk/innovator-visa
https://www.gov.uk/start-up-visa

These two visa categories are NOT part of the point based system. So combination of time spent under these routes will not be possible with time spent under a PBS route like Tier 2 for ILR.

planning to get innovator visa to start my own company...the only things that’s gonna hurt is the checking at 6, 12 and 24 months by the endorsing body...

how much innovative is innovative...

i am sure the innovation clauses also applied to t1 entrepreneure visa as well...

No, it was again clear. The start up visa is the equivalent of T1 Graduate Entrepreneur and does not count to ILR
