Thank you for your reply, really appreciate.
What was the exact figure you paid in USD for IHS?
Yes, it seems as if you've paid double for IHS. The correct amount for one applicant should be USD 1632.

What was the exact figure you paid in USD for the application fee?
Forget the figures given in GBP (£); they seem to be for information purposes only. UKVI use USD and apply their own exchange rate in order to determine a GBP conversion.
It is £1200 for a 33 month visa, not £1100.adshahmat wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 7:45 amYes, it seems as if you've paid double for IHS. The correct amount for one applicant should be USD 1632.
IHS is £400 a year, so in theory should be £1100 for a 33-month visa. But, as well as charging in USD rather than GBP, UKVI round it up to the nearest six-month period.
UKVI use oanda.com to calculate. It appears you have likely been charged the IHS plus visa fee, based on a set date (which changes monthly).suzanne T wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 7:51 amhi, adshahmat wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 7:36 amWhat was the exact figure you paid in USD for IHS?

The exact figure (payment summary) for IHS is USD3264
The exact figure for application fees was not provided yet as the online application will only proceed to give such summary payment after we have paid for the IHS.
what our problem is the payment summary for IHS (USD3264) is quite questionable.

Indeed. Hence, my use of the words 'in theory'.
Yes, you're clearly being charged for two applicants.
Hi,CR001 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 8:13 amWhat is your UK sponsors immigration status?
Are you both in abroad or only the applicant?? If the UK sponsor is in the UK, then the wife is joining someone in the UK.
And have you completed form VAF4A for a spouse settlement visa??
Your post is not clear on your circumstances.
If you haven't paid the IHS and Application Fee yet, you haven't yet submitted your application.
Thank you for your kind response.
By PR, do you mean PR under the EEA/EU rules or ILR under the UK immigration rules?? Is your spouse an EU citizen or a non EU citizen basically.suzanne T wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 8:21 amHi,CR001 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 8:13 amWhat is your UK sponsors immigration status?

I apologize that I have not made my question clear.
My sponsor is a PR in the UK.
Only the applicant (myself) in abroad. The sponsor is in the UK.
We have completed the Form VAF4A online.
The payment summary for IHS should only be USD1200 instead of USD3264. I do not know why we were asked to pay more than double payment.
We afraid there might be some error in our VAF4A form submitted.

I see. I did not notice that.CR001 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 8:58 amHolding ILR under the UK Immigration rules or PR under the EEA rules as the ex spouse of an EU citizen?? This is really important especially if the form is asking for the expiry date of your spouse's ILR, which is likely December 2024, as this is then what the error would be in the wrong calculation!!
Yes!! It is a glitch in the IHS system, HO is aware of this, so it is not 'deception'. Many have had to do this.
Thank you so much for your help. I am re-submit the form.CR001 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 9:20 amYes!! It is a glitch in the IHS system, HO is aware of this, so it is not 'deception'. Many have had to do this.
