Got mine today :D and it was dated 08 April. I'd say there's still some hope for those that haven't received one yet.

Just had an e-mail from them today saying that:

Please be advised that invitations are currently issuing for the
Citizenship Ceremony due to take place on 29/04/2019. You should be
receiving yours over the coming week. Further details will be contained on

Congrats! Looks like we might be on the same ceremony. :)

Fingers crossed the invitation gets back. I wrote them a reply asking 'does this mean I'm scheduled for the April ceremony' and they wrote back with ONE world ''yes''. lol 8) :D

Can I ask, did you email them to check on your status and this was their reply. Or was it just part of their process and arrived without you contacting them?
Just wondering as they received my cheque on Monday, so perhaps I might get an email soon (as need to book a hotel, etc if I’m attending and it’s not that far off now)

Thanks 😊

Lol, they also ignored my emails regarding the ceremony. The invitation arrived and they never replied them.

They sent the invite on the same day I emailed them but never responded. So, they might have seen mine and considered the invite to be a sufficient response. If they're anything like the GNIB, I'll get an email a month or two after the question is no longer relevant.

I booked a hotel weeks ago (long before I knew I'd get an invite). Hotels.com (or any similar site) usually offers free cancellation up until 24-48hrs before check-in and you can opt to pay at the hotel rather than upfront (i.e. no need to get a refund if you cancel). The bookings are quite clear on what the deadline for cancellation is before reserving so there's no surprises there.

I received an approval letter on Thursday dated the 10th April. They asked for €950 fee and GNIB to be sent within 5 days to be considered for the next ceremony. 5 days is ridiculous. But luckily I have the money. Im sending the draft tomorrow meaning they won't receive it till Tuesday. Is there any hope for me to be included at the ceremony on the 29th.fingers crossed!! :|

Wow this is new. Never heard of this 5 days request. Maybe they are trying to fill the remaining spaces due to cancellation and non-response from other people. Congrats and good luck.

I think you will. I sent my cheque last Monday, so they received it Tuesday and I got my invitation to the ceremony on the Friday!

Nothing like short notice lol 😂 Luckily I booked the day off already in case, but I bet some people would have a real problem attending...

Good luck in any case! 😊

Did your letter also say 5 days to send back? If so, I’d say you have chances. Congrats on your approval btw!
