[April 2019] Indian Passport Re-issue in London

[April 2019] Indian Passport Re-issue in London

Hi all,

I'm an Indian citizen on a Tier-2 General visa in the UK. My passport has run out of pages and I need to issue it ASAP. Two questions:

1. As I understand the process isn't brokered by VFS anymore and you need to directly apply to the HCI via the passport website. Is this correct?
2. How long does it take? The process seems to be relatively straightforward (just a form and submission of passport & BRP). Is this correct, or is there something I'm missing?
