Any Tier-1 (General) new applicants??

again no reply from HO. Still waiting !!!! anyone got extension today???

Dear all,
I have applied for Tier-1 in May 2008 and havent; recieve any decission from HO. However my student visa is expiring soon on 18th July 2008. Since i sent my passport and all documents with Tier-1 application.
1/ Please tell me that if i refused OR dont get decision from HO before
2/ 18th July or, then what will be my visa states?
3/ Can i apply for the extension of student visa without passport before the decision of Tier-1

I think u should wait for HO decision. As long as ur passport is in HO, ur status is legal in dis country. I personally think u should not apply for student extension at same time. U should have apply for student extension first before Tier 1. Anyway time has passed. Now hope for best. cheers

Jus spoke to nice lady in HO. She told me dat ma application is still under consideration by CW. But did not give me any time frame. I applied on 28th of April. Does anyone got clue y it is still underconsderation by CW? They did not contact me for any further documents even if they need more after two months. I m now thinking if they want to refuse, they should have send it back. douno wots goin on there !!!!

chakde...i have recieved the bank statment and have sent it through royal mail special delivery.

statment is covering all 12 month period. it is on original bank stationary along with a letter head confirming my balance in 2004 jan to jan2005.

before sending i called HO and they said CW is waiting for my statement...which is a good thing.....

I have done my best and now i will wait.....lets see wat happens now...finger crossed..

I guess you can send any additional documents on your own , nothing wrong in that – this might be handy to send it now since you cant probably send any additional documents after a decision has been made ( while review request , if required )

w.r.t additional documents normally if a CW informs you , then yes they do wait …….thought I have no clue if they do wait if you send on your own....but since you have asked CC to put a note and she has confirmed , atleast you have some proof of your efforts ....do take their name & write down details ( date & time ) ...every time you speak to CC - may be you will need later to refer these discussions .....also double check this afternoon or tomorrow morning.....if the CC you spoke earlier has indeed written any notes.....cross check with the new CC advisor .

A friendly advice after you have sent your bank statements ......don’t think too much and panic….you have done your best – relax until you don’t hear further… either way !

Don't know how long to wait for the VISA. Got the HSMP approval after 2 months. Now it's 6 weeks, I have applied for leave to remain with the HSMP approval letter. Only God knows their way of working. Now I am thinking I did a mistake I should have applied in the new Tier1 sysyem w/o taking the HSMP.

Been 8 wks now. called HO today, no answer, same thing under consideration even after we sent urgent treatment which they say they will consider but in the end did not send the doc last week so my bf hving to waste the 600quid tickets and missing his sis's weddin this saturday. its really terrible this homeoffice.

Hi Vipul,
its a mis-conception that P-60 and payslips are from same source. I would like to reiterate that P-60, though provided by the employer, it is filed with HMRC and most of the cases it is filed online. Since there is no stamping on P-60( the way Saral in India is stamped by Tax Authority), still it is considered as authenticated document. I have checked atleast half a dozen times with HO, whether P-60 is document from employer, they said clearly "it is document from employer, it is independent source" and I have provided the contact number of HMRC - my tax office address in the application.

But we should bear in mind that the claimed period and the amount must match with payslips i.e, mirror of the payslips. That means one can only apply with P-60 and payslips if they are claiming for period between April - March. That's where you would have mirror of annual salary with P-60.

For any one who is considering P-60 and payslips, my advice is look for "Total Pay" in your last payslip, if that matches the P-60's "Total for year" amount, then you can provide it. That's what I have done.

what I noticed by going through the post is that in normal (all correct document) wp to tier1 sceanario the approval is received in about a month. and it takes another 2 weeks for stamping and receiving of letters. Its been exacly a month since I filed my tier1.

my question is

I there a way to find out if my application has been approved or still waiting for approval?

I was silent spectator this forum helped me a lot. Dint called home office coz was pretty sure which week 'll be receiving. I was rejected earlier in prev rule in Nov due to Sal calcs. So wasnt sure I cud get this time further I took more bigger risk by givng notice to my company before tier1 approval. Finally got it. I luv takng risk

Hi, after reading through posts it seems that HO does not tell about the decision over the phone. They will just say that 10 weeks is the time before we can call. I have applied on 29th May. And after reading some of the earlier posts it seems that applications send before 17 May are under consideration. So wait. Don't call HO if it is not urgent.

Congrats AKN for your approval. I have received P60 which says P60 substitute and printed A4 plain paper in black and white and it is original.
How does your P60 look like ? Thanks for your help

Just saw royal mail recorded delivery message slip in my letter box stating they could not deliver a packet as my signature is required...

feeling of uncertainity creeped in....is it my tier 1 documents, wht is the result.....next steps with either result... then thought to just logon to this forum that is my most frequently visited site these days ... typing with fingers crossed ...

i know beever !!! ma patience is running out now cuz ma wedding is on 25th of July. ma sisiter in law has already booked flight for her n faimly (5 pplz) n ma sister in China also cumin back on 11th of July. Whereas I m in middle of no where if nothing happen before ma wedding date then I will be responsible for their ticket loss. I m only hoping for best

only thing u can do is to call HO. Mostly they dount give information before 10 weeks time. Try try agian n u will get through one day

My suggestion seacrh anything if you are not sure before going to any agent. Even you can call HO.

I get frustrated with this status message, VFS/BHC is having only 2 status messages to mention!

Online tracking system is totally waste of time!

Can someone answer me please? My WP is expiring this month. I have applied for FLR with HSMP approval letter. Hopefully it should be approved. But as I didn't receive the stampped passport yet I am a bit worried now. If my application get refused and I come to know next month. What other options I can try that time? That time my Old WP VISA will be expired. Can my employer apply for the WP extension that time? Or it's better to ask my employer to apply for WP extension now. In the beginning I told them not apply for extension as I had HSMP approval letter.

Please advise.
