Referees - Engineer(with Professional Qualification)

Dear Experts,
I am planning to apply for citizenship.
I was looking at Referee part. I have seen questions in the forum about Referees but could not find similar ones or I might have missed during my search.

Q. I am looking for Engineer (With professional qualifications) part of List of acceptable professional persons.

My colleague is happy to sign/be a referee for me. He is academc engineer.He is also registered Chartered Engineer(CEng) from IET.

In form under Referee details, please correct me if below response needs more explaination:
Q: What is their profession? Mentioning as "Chartered Engineer (IET)"
Experts/Gurus can you guys please confirm if this is fine and CEng is part of professional qualifications.

Q: How does the referee know the applicant: "Office colleague, known since Jan XXXX". Is this sufficient or more explaination is required.
Any response in this regards is highly appreciated.

I also used two engineers and I wrote in this format

Engineer (IMeche accredited)
Engineer (IET accredited)

I wrote Professional Colleague for both.

my application was accepted.

Referee 1 is a former colleague. Referee2 is my colleague till date.

For family (Wife and kid):
From Referee 1(Former colleague) :
Q: How does the referee know the applicant:

I have known Mrs. XYZ since XX XX XXXX.
By way of introduction, my name is Mr.xxx yyy, I am a ABC graduate from " " and a software engineer with XX years of experience.
XYZ husband Mr YYY and I worked closely in the same company called "COMPANY" from (From Date) till (To Date).
In addition, I have known XYZ and her family at a personal and social level.

OR

By way of introduction, my name is Mr.xxx yyy, I am a ABC graduate from " " and a software engineer with XX years of experience.
XYZ husband Mr YYY and I worked closely in the same company called "COMPANY" from (From Date) till (To Date).
In addition, REMOVED LINES HERE

Is this sufficient or it is not revelant to give all these details, or let me know your sugegstions if this is not right.

From Refeere 2:
Colleagues wife known since XXXX

For my kid:
Colleagues kid, known since birth.

Your referees do NOT have to write letters. You need to complete the referee form the online process gives you. That is all you need.

Yes, but no need to write a lengthy paragraph as you have stated. They simply need to state 'work colleague' or 'friend'.

Referee 1(Ex colleage)
Wife: Ex colleague wife, known since XXXX
Kid: Ex colleague kid, known since birth.

I am getting confused thinking which is the right way.

Yes, only the basic information the form asks for. HO is not interested in a lengthy detailed description of the relationship.
