The op might be British and not necessarily a tier 4 student visa holder.

Spouse visa

Post by Mounirleena » Sat May 11, 2019 6:09 pm

Hi all hope your all doing well, I have a question hoping you could help . So basically I'm a student 19 years of age with a 4 month old daughter , my mum is making me move out of the house with my daughter because she's struggling with space and finance since I'm almost turning 20 . So I'm going to look for council house to live . Me and my husband are planning to apply for spouse visa so he can join me in the UK. What documents do I need to bring him and would council accomadation affect my spouse visa , since I don't work and ha e to take care of my daughter btw we are both British citizens .
Hoping someone could help , really need my husband to help me to take care of daughter :( :!:

Until you confirm what your status is in the UK, it's impossible for anyone to advise you. Are you British, settled with permanent residence, or are you currently on a Tier 4 Student visa :?:

Until you are able to meet the minimum income level of £18,600 p.a, a Spouse visa application will fail.

Your husband will have to consider whether he qualifies for one of the Points Based routes; work or study.

Yes I know I don't meet the financial requirement but I've read on the gov website you may not need to meet that requirement if you have a British child and of course we will have savings to look after himself

FLR(FP) can't be applied for from outside of the UK.

No, as your husband must be residing in the UK.

As you are unable to meet the minimum earnings level for a spouse visa, your husband will need a Tier 2 General visa in order to enter and work in the UK. He will need to obtain an offer of employment from a Home Office approved Sponsor. However, does your husband have any work skills which would secure him employment :?:

The information on a Tier 2 General visa can be found in the link below.

He does have skills of working in a hotel dealing with finance ...another question would we be able to apply for spouse visa once he's her or what's the difference between the visa and how long can he stay on tier 2 general visa in the UK :? :?:
