Six weeks rule prior to apply citizenship

Post by humtumpyr » Tue May 14, 2019 10:58 am

I have heard that one year prior to apply citizenship we can't go more than 6 six out of the country. Is it correct?

I am eligible to apply citizenship at end of this year i,e DEC.
In March 2019, I already out of country for 5 weeks , I was on my annual holidays. Now, my company want me to go out of the country for office related work . If I go out of Ireland for one more month would be effect on my citizenship application?

Is there any exception cases are there for this 6 week rule? If yes, please explain me.

Another question is if I visit UK is it still count as out of the country .For instance, If I go UK for more than 6 six weeks will be a problem?

I am waiting for your responce,

Thank you.
